Even sheikhs were impressed by the idea of the CAR-shaped buildings of ​​the Salzburg city architect. Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nabyan commissioned the city architect to design a hotel project in the CAR design as part of the construction of the largest CAR centre in the world. The hotel project with a contract worth Eur 35 million was secured. Further orders with a construction volume of Eur 500 million should have followed and a racetrack in Quatar was also already in planning.

 

The orders had to be cancelled, however, due to the sudden wrongful prosecution of the city architect Voglreiter by the Austrian tax authorities, and so they could not be implemented.
